When Hermès Encounters Japanese Artist

Ok, I know I know, luxury brands collaborating with artists is no more something new in current fashion stage. Let me remind you…

Louis Vuitton worked with Stephen Sprouse, and you must be still intoxicated with those graffiti Speedy bags back to 2009; before that, it was Richard Prince who cooperated with Louis Vuitton in 2008 Spring/Summer collection ; then Takashi Murakami with his hundreds of colors until this year, Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama-queen of polka dots-invested her lifelong "dots arts" to a line Louis Vuitton 2012 limited edition.

Other brands, such as Salvatore Ferragamo used to join hands with Chinese artist, Xue Song in 2010; Dior with Anselm Reyle by launching a line of fluorescent and camouflage bags early this year. Numerous win-win collaborations between luxury brands and artists, you name it!

Louis Vuitton, high profile brand with a image of logo driven and showing off. It is not surprising that everybody knows its cooperations with artists. However, when it comes to Hermès, the case would be different.

When you are covered by enormous reports and news of Louis Vuitton * Yayoi Kusama, do you know that Hermès has just announced its work with Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto? I bet you don't know it. Well, I mean, most of fashion laymen don't know that…not including you  :))

As understated as possible, Hermès just made a collaboration with Hiroshi Sugimoto for a limited edition of its well-known silk scarf.

Current artistic designer of Hermès, Patrick Thomas visited Sugimoto's workshop in 2010 in Tokyo and "had a crush on" his work-"Sugimoto keeps a crystal prism in his studio, enabling an experimental observation allowing sunlight to rise each morning, passing through the prism, a world of color, projected as a shadow on the white walls of the workshop. It is this subtle light, patchy and ephemeral, captured by the Polaroids of the artist, which saw the inspiration behind the limited edition scarves."

It belongs to an activity that Hermès collaborates with artists, i.e. Hermès Editeur, artists create their cutting-edge, contemporary even avant-garde designs to print on Hermès silk products.

This collection's selective art works were jointly decided by Patrick Thomas and Hiroshi Sugimoto. Eventually, they picked out 20 Polaroid pictures made by Sugimoto; and the whole release will be limited to 7 of each image, therefore, 140 scarves will be waiting for their lucky owners.

Degrade colors are the theme of this cooperation.

Summer is here, what do you gonna use as a piece of accessory?

Of course colored Hermès silk scarf with the touch of great photographer--Hiroshi Sugimoto!!!

About Hiroshi Sugimoto:

I think most of you don't know who he is.. for me, Japanese names are quite difficult to remember. It took me AGES to memorize and be able to write correctly "Takashi Murakami"…

so here we go, I'll force me to write again--Hiroshi Sugimoto!!!

1948  Born in Tokyo, Japan
1970  Graduated from Saint Paul’s University, Tokyo

1974  Graduated from Art Center College of Design, Los Angeles
1974  Moved to New York

In 2009 U2 selected Sugimoto's Boden Sea, Uttwil (1993) as the cover for their album No Line on the Horizon to be released in March that year. This image had previously been used by sound artists Richard Chartier and Taylor Deupree for their 2006 CD inspired by Sugimoto's "seascapes" series. Sugimoto noted it was merely a "coincidence" that the image appears on both album covers. In addition, he notes that the agreement with U2 was a "stone age deal" or, artist-to-artist. No cash exchanged hands, rather a barter agreement which allows Sugimoto to use the band's song "No Line on the Horizon" (partly inspired by the "Boden Sea"
image) in any future project.

Do you like him?
I do.

Good night my friends

POSE yourself

Hello Hello my dearest friends, what's the first definition or thing coming up to your mind when you hear "pose"? I bet most of you don't know what that is when I hear it.

It's a smartphone app for people who love fashion to share their stylish look on it. I knew it from Rachel Zoe who published a link in her Facebook via Pose.

Personally, I adore this app since I am a fashion addict. I check out what people are wearing, I "Like" it as what we do in Facebook; I post my looks and get to know whether people like my appearance with the number of their "Likes". It's quite attractive, because I can assure if my taste of style get accepted by public eyes. (well, basically I don't really care about people's judges, but the more "Likes", the happier I am, c'est normal…people!!)

Here's the interface of POSE, you get "Hearts", meanwhile, you can note the brand of your "pieces"

It's a US-based app, hence most of the followers are in US

Voila, above is my sharing with you guys if you are into fashion, why not check what other people's wearing and maybe they will give you some ideas of what you are about to buy in…

Hereafter are several snapshots of my recent looks..27 degrees in Paris..I am dying..
No air-conditionings in classroom…
SOS
>.<

my hair is growing fast!!!
should I cut it?

I started to wear tubes, because I hate tanning prints..!!! jesus…you'd better kill me..
but I couldn't make the tanning part evenly now…the darker parts are getting darker while the lighter parts are getting darker as well, but always lagging behind…
WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DOOOOOOO?????

Sunshine is my honey

ewwwww disgusting top prints

In Saint James Albany with my girls

It was my cherie Jary (same as a blogger) who took this picture with powerful her Blackberry

A look for dinner, I am those kinds of girl who rarely wear high-heels…how uncomfortable is that!

I should clean this mirror..I'll do it..for sure..
but don't know when XDDDDD

ok my friends, I don't know whether you like my looks or not.
but you can like other's look by POSE if you fancy to…

See you later, alligator..

Le Look for 28 degree in Paris!!

Finalllllly, yes!!!

You must ask me what finally…
It's the weather in Paris! It finally turns warm, like summer! last few days, it was only 12 degree during the day…c'mon, we are in May!! In Beijing, it's been more than 30 for almost one month!

I am not like the Asian girls in general who desire fair skins during their whole life..they try every single beauty product to make their skins whiter and whiter..

I am a tanning-addict..Can't live without sunshine…I frequent Jardin du Luxenbourg, Jardin des Tuileries…It's horrible in weekend, there is no chairs at all, you have to "beg" for a chair from people who use one to put their legs on…anyways,

Today, it was 28 degree in Paris..it was not just sunny, it was BURNING!!!

Well, let's back to my topic..LOOK du JOUR!

I just fell in love with black recently, no idea since when…maybe since I 've bought my little black top from H&M..j'ai craque!!

I've told you that I was a gold+black maniac…so here we go..
black top, black dress, black bag
BUT
EACH of them with a touch of GOLDEN color!!!!!
how classic that is..just amazing
Remember Dolce&Gabbana's Baroque feast this year??
Voila, that's it!

Tips: my friends fancy my belt, which matches well with my black look..
I found this belt in Florence, a Vintage Boutique..30euro..I am not a brand slut..so often drop by at any attractive second-hand/vintage shops.
you can find a lot of things that you can never find in a Chanel store!
I promise..

GO and TRY

Spotted: Place du Vendome

ohh, BTW, my watch, bracelet, rings are all in a golden accent!!!!!!
I am a crazy girl..well

Old rings with a new member, it's a Vuitton ring which I spent 20 mins in the shop to decide whether I need it or not..but you see, I took it..

I am a ….maniac of what?
RINGS
I lost two rings in Lisbon, and I keep buying new ones…
From YSL to Folie Folie and now, Vuitton..
They really say something about my style and personality..
everybody need their styles to be different from others…Huge rings are my symbol, heavy accessories are my look as well..

but the funniest thing in summer is that, since I like tanning..my load of bracelets always leave me with prints on my arms…I HATE THAT!!!!
and of course, you know what? It is SOOOO HOOOOT when you wear a lot of accessories in summer!!…I sweat…enfin..my arms sweat…  ^^

Tomorrow it's gonna be 26, almost the same as today..I will have 9 hours class…jesus…if you ask me why I haven't slept yet at 2h41am? because I just finished preparing a project for tomorrow class..

J'en peux plus!!!
J'y vais…

Kisses my friends..
Tell me what do you wear during HOOOOOT days…
Do you like bronzer??? if so, you know where to find me and let's get tanned togetherrrrrrrrrrrr

Maniac for GOLDEN stuff...

well, since when I am obsessed with golden things, such as rings, bracelets, etc, especially when they mix with black, which turns out to be GOLDEN BLACK..baroque elegance..Almost all of my friends know that I'm a "golden" mania…my watch, my rings, my bracelets, shoes, bags…OMG…crazy

I met this cute girl in a dinner, we have a friend in common..mais attends…j'ai craque pour ses baques tout de suite!! (I fell in love with her rings right away)….rings, bracelet, nail polish, all together, just perfect..shining yet natural…

I admit that I am a bad photographer…I can't change the light with simply a iphone…

better?…actually not…well anyway..Cartier girl…

we had a good time…girl's night out in humid Paris…
It rained twice in Paris this week, the first time has rained for 3 days, the second 4 days…

Bon Week-end

In My Bag

That was all my belongings I have in my bag during the trips to Metz and Florence. I am the kind of girls who are manic with HUGE bags, in which I can put whatever I think I would need..So, as you see, I brought my huge "luggage" bag with me, which is really big and I had a crush on it right way in the boutique.

A bag can make me feel comfortable, that's a good start!
I can't live without my lipsticks and I am a loyal customer to MAC..which I just really love..it has solid colors and pure texture! I brought orange and red with me all the time, and Sephora red lip liner (if you know that red lips are the hardest to draw on..so I need both lip liner and lipstick); Avène lip balm which we need not only in winter, remember to protect your lips while using colored lipsticks; tanned balm for cheek from Topshop which I had found in Colette; to-go perfume bottle with J'adore in it; USB key, I wasn't on purpose to bring it on trips, but I just have this habit to bring it from school to life; clips and band-aid--I was traveling…who knows what would happen... (all these mentioned above were stored into my green Prada pochette); H&M earrings which I just wore one and put another in bag in case I lost one; notebook and pen, of course; Ipad to replace my heavy Mac; you can never go on a trip without music right? so, my Ipod, (I am really a golden addict, ain't I?); booooooks,< A to Z of Style> which I found in Gucci museum, it's my red treasure new love… oh oh, almost forgot, Iphone!! my weapon to take pictures…after I had my iphone, I seldom use my camera..I even left my Nikon D40x in Beijing!

Voila voila… huge heavy bag, I made it heavier… yes that's me!

What kind of bag do you use and what do you put in it when you are traveling?

Vacation Looks

Hello my friends, it's been ages…I was in vacation after a tiresome exam week..I went to Metz--a small town in north-east of France--and Florence!!!

Five days in Metz made me relaxed and escaped from hectic Paris. It was sunny almost everyday, and lucky me that I have a friend there hence I could crash in his place which was lot more convenient than finding a hostel, if there exists hostel…

I'am a turban girl, especially the time when summer is on her way…I've got this turban (actually it's a scarf) in Beijing which cost me only 7euro..and I brought it with me in France..sometimes I put it on my bag…thank god, it's multifunctional…LOL and it's in a easy-matched color pattern..huge sunglasses are always the partner with turban, as well as RED LIPSTICKS!! they will click right away…believe it or not..you 'll see...

I love this coincidence… I was in Pompidou Center in Metz, this is the floor in a hall…my leggings were from Uniqlo with a shirt of H&M and a pair of rose-red ballerine.. the colors and patterns just CLICK again!!!

Guess where I was?? I was in one of the largest zooooooo in Europe…Zoo d'Amneville!!
wearing a pair of comfortable shoes with a maxi dress which would facilitate your walking tour in an ENORMOUS zooo with all those animals..

Have a look of Metz…the weather was fascinating; the air was fresher than that in Paris!! such an adorable place for holiday!

Metz Opera

After having spent several lazy days in Metz, I joined school trip to Florence..where I was always looking forward to…It would be my 3rd Italian destinations after Milan and Venice and I conclude that I love Florence most!! I think everybody does..

I was standing on the prestige Ponte Vecchio..how gorgeous Florence is! you can never find a brand-new constructions here…Renaissance vibe embraces you all the way around

Overview of the whole "TOWN"…Florence is quite small by comparison to Beijing…ok…to Paris..Beijing is always bigger than any cities though….
it's breathless right? the floral Firenze..the red roof…the Cathedral..Uffizi..Palazzo Pitti…you name it..

a huge "luggage" bag suits me well…I'am addicted to large bags…so that I am able to put all of my stuff into it and bring them with me in case I need something…although I always rummage in it..and hard to find out my small lighter…

BTW, recently, I can't live without my turban…I even wore it to supermarket just now!! and it sucks that Paris is not a city for turban,,, at least not now!! IT'S POURING OUTSIDE!!  :((

With this outfit…I was soooo surprised that there were a looooot of people looking at me on the street…even my friends noticed their staring and smiles…it's true that in a raining season, everybody wears dark clothes, grey or black…seems like we are still in winter…I just stood out of these pure black or grey, with something fresher…that's it…

spotted: I found out an AWESOME vintage store…he's the owner of …I am a patron of vintage or second hand stores..no matter in Paris or in Brugge.. all those boutiques I had been to were too small and bad organized..However, this one…OMG…it's HUGE and well furnished, arranged…high quality of clothes, vintage ties range from Chanel to Ferragamo..bags from Fendi to Valentino…I just have a crush on this store which hide in one of the street near Duomo…

Since when the feather earrings came to the stage? who can tell me? Anyway, I fall in love with them…and I only wore ONE

In front of Palazzo Pitti…just before I went to dig out the secrets of Medici Family..
look at that belt which I've found in that vintage store!!! 30 euro!!! I am an addict to GOLDEN stuff..you can tell if you know me well.. xx

last night in Florence in an packed, local restaurant with friends…I just changed the turban everyday…
from vintage scarf to McQueen carre.. they made me feel good..lol

All in all, style is made by yourself and remember that, you should be yourself rather than being a copycat..Meanwhile, don't use pricey luxury goods decorating all over you…it's gonna be a ridiculous look ever..people will see you as someone who knows only using high-price to get noticed..
